Your Financial Support Matters More Than Ever in 2025!

Your contributions over the years has seen significant improvement in the Museum's Historic Collection, Campus, and Demonstration Railroad

For 2025, we need your donations even more for

• The Construction of a Car Storage Barn Extension to Protect 3 more Trolleys from the Weather
  Work began in December 2024, and our Volunteers have donated over $100,00.00 in labor.
  Your help is vital to fund the actual construction of the building, the outfitting of the building with power and fire alarm, and the replacement of the track and trolley wire leading into the extended building.
  
  
• Continued restoration of 1913 built Chicago Aurora and Elgin car 316.   A elegant wood trolley car that is being restored to its 1920s appearance.   We are in the home stretch and need your support to cross the finish line.
  
• New Wheels for 1902 built Chicago Aurora and Elgin car 20.   After 56 seasons at the museum (1966 - 2022) and 55 years in commercial service (1902 - 1957), Car 20, which turned 120 years old in 2022, needs new wheels.   The current wheels are worn out and must be replaced before the car can once again take people for a ride along the Fox River.  Work on putting new wheels on Car 20 will need to be contracted out.  Your help and contributions today and tomorrow are critical for bringing back car 20 as soon as possible for another 50+ years at the Fox River Trolley Museum
• Another Investment in our 1896 demonstration railroad to continue safe operation.  Each year, we need support to continue the work of replacing at least 200 railroad ties a year.
